On October 3, 2024, at 14:00, the Faculty of Computer Science (Campus 2) at Goce Delčev University – Štip will host a special lecture titled “21st Century – Century of the Hydrogen Economy.”
The lecture will be delivered by Prof. Daria Vladikova, D.Eng.Sc., Head of H2START – the first Center of Excellence in Clean Hydrogen Technologies in Bulgaria and Southeast Europe.
- The role of hydrogen technologies in sustainable development and the European Green Deal.
- The growing demand for technical specialists – by 2030, the EU will require around 180,000 qualified professionals in the sector.
- The importance of integrating hydrogen technologies into education – from primary school to university.
- The contribution of the European Hydrogen Academy in building educational networks and developing learning materials to support this transformation.
The event will bring together:
- Students and mentors from several secondary schools in North Macedonia;
- Students from the Faculty of Computer Science at UGD;
- Students from all technical faculties of the university.
The lecture represents an important step toward building the knowledge and skills essential for the future hydrogen economy. It underlines the significance of international cooperation and education as key foundations for a successful green transformation in Europe.
