Croatia launches a call for green vehicle subsidies, including hydrogen
Croatia has launched a €21.2 million subsidy call to accelerate uptake of green vehicles and support the shift to low-emission transport. The initiative aims to stimulate investment in clean mobility solutions and boost demand for environmentally friendly vehicles. The Bulgarian Hydrogen Association (BGH2A) has submitted a position in the public consultation on the Law on Promoting Electric Mobility, urging that hydrogen vehicles and the related refuelling infrastructure be made eligible for support as well. Such an inclusive, technology-neutral approach can help speed decarbonisation across transport modes.Perhaps a similar program will soon be launched in Bulgaria!
Netherlands allocates €40M to support 300 hydrogen vehicles and new refuelling stations
The Netherlands has launched a €40 million mobility subsidy programme to deploy roughly 300 hydrogen vehicles and expand H₂ refuelling infrastructure. The funding aims to stimulate demand, de-risk early deployments and accelerate the roll-out of hydrogen mobility across road transport. Such targeted support helps build a functioning hydrogen ecosystem and encourages wider uptake of zero-emission transport solutions.
Rolls-Royce Advances Hydrogen-Powered Aviation Engine Technology
Rolls-Royce has reported further advances in hydrogen-powered aviation engine technology as part of broader efforts to decarbonise flight. The company is progressing tests and component development to integrate hydrogen systems into aircraft propulsion while addressing safety and performance challenges. These technological steps are important for making hydrogen a viable zero-emission option for longer-range aviation.
