Four companies signed Memorandum of understanding during the Global Hydrogen Summit in Rotterdam
The Bulgarian Hydrogen Association is pleased to highlight the recent involvement of its member, SeeHydrogen, in a new regional initiative to advance clean mobility in Central and Eastern Europe.
As announced by the company, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by four leading companies from across Europe during the Global Hydrogen Summit in Rotterdam, marking the launch of the See Hydrogen Mobility Consortium. Their ambition is to develop a large-scale hydrogen mobility corridor spanning Eastern and Central Europe, Turkey, and connecting with Western Europe.
SeeHydrogen Ltd. (Bulgaria), in collaboration with RESATO Hydrogen Technology, HyGear, and Green Energy Park-Global (all Netherlands), is leading an initiative to establish a fully integrated hydrogen truck mobility infrastructure across Europe by 2031.
The project’s pilot phase, planned for completion in Bulgaria by 2028, will include at least three hydrogen refueling stations, a hydrogen production facility, over 100 hydrogen-powered trucks, and supporting digital infrastructure.
In its full scope, the initiative envisions:
More than 100 hydrogen refueling stations along the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T), spaced roughly 200 km apart;
17 regional green hydrogen production sites;
Up to 10,000 hydrogen trucks deployed via a pay-per-use leasing model;
Integration of green ammonia as a hydrogen source.
The initiative brings together hydrogen production, distribution, and vehicle deployment into a unified, cross-border ecosystem. The consortium remains open to engaging new stakeholders from across the hydrogen value chain and welcomes collaboration with public and private actors committed to advancing the hydrogen transition in Europe and beyond.
