BGH2A and HHFCA sign cooperation agreement to strengthen collaboration in the field of hydrogen

The Bulgarian Hydrogen, Fuel Cells and Energy Storage Association (BGH2A) and the Hungarian Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Association (HHFCA) have officially signed a cooperation agreement, laying the foundation for a closer partnership in the field of hydrogen technologies and policies.

The agreement aims to encourage the exchange of knowledge, best practices and expertise between the two organisations, while supporting the development of a sustainable hydrogen sector in Central and Southeastern Europe.

“This partnership is a strategic step towards establishing the foundations for green hydrogen production in Bulgaria and its future export along the Southeast European Hydrogen Corridor to Central European countries. It will also contribute to the broader development of the hydrogen economy in Bulgaria,” said Denitsa Nozharova of BGH2A.

The signing of the agreement marks an important step towards stronger coordination on key topics related to the hydrogen economy, including policy, infrastructure and industrial development.

The partnership between BGH2A and HHFCA will create opportunities for joint initiatives and participation in regional and European processes aimed at accelerating the energy transition and the deployment of clean technologies.

A particular focus will be placed on developing regional partnerships and supporting strategic initiatives related to hydrogen infrastructure in Southeastern Europe.

BGH2A will continue to work actively to expand international partnerships and strengthen Bulgaria’s position in the European hydrogen ecosystem.
